LJ Services were engaged by Broadspectrum to provide an infrastructure upgrade based on a design and construction basis due to planned NBN growth within the site.
Due to the additional equipment load placed on the exchange, assessment of existing conditions were required and analyzed.
Additional Air conditioning was identified a requirement, in addition the existing main switchboard was at physical and current carrying capacity.
Subsequent to the above, the following infrastructure was replaced and/or upgraded:
Packaged Ducted Air conditioning plant with redundancy (2 Systems)
New associated Mechanical Services switchboard and Innotech Control System
New 630A Form 3B Main Switchboard
New Rectifier Distribution Boards
New Consumers Mains, Metering, Civil works.
Installation of new 500KVA Pad Mount Transformer.
All works were carried out in an operating telecommunication exchange incorporating third party equipment form numerous Telco Carriers, Infrastructure and Essential service businesses.
This project was successfully completed 6 weeks ahead of practical completion without any network interruption.
